Genting highlands

When to Genting Highlands (malaysia) last weekend. It was an approximately 330 km drive away. Set off from my home at about 7am and reached there at around 3pm. Had numerous meal and toilet breaks in between. Driving there was definitely quite an experience. Something to introduce me to long distance driving. In Singapore, at most you only get to drive from Changi to Jurong and back. Here, i get to experience what it is like to be driving for 3-4 hours non-stop. Going there was fun, coming back was tiring, esp when everyone else in the car was asleep except you. Finally understand what is driver's fatigue ;)

Drivers there are basically on the whole, rather courteous i would say. They do not horn unneccessarily, even when you happen to cut into their lanes. However, after awhile, i realised that actually, their act of not horning is not due to courtesy. Actually, people cutting sharply into your lane without signalling (nearly caused me to had an accident) , tail-gating even when u are driving at 12okm/h, and driving dangerously close to you due to them not following their own lanes ( one of them scatched the left side of my car due to this >:( ) has becomed such a common practice that most cannot be bothered to horn anymore. Bloody Bastards!!!!! But i noticed something good as well, heavy vehicles such as lorries, buses and trucks will keep left on highways unless overtaking. Over here, i had seen some lorries and trucks hogging the right lanes. Super inconsiderate! I think singaporeans are one of the most inconsiderate drivers in the world! Special mentions goes to taxi and lorry drivers!

Stayed over at the First World Hotel. Here is how the place looks like. If you are not here for the joy rides at the theme parks or the casino, basically there is nothing left to do. Going outdoors require a pass which in turn requires your to pay an additional fee. Something which i thought is damn ridiculous! Things here are bloody expensive as well. 3 fishballs for 3 ringgit!!! Thats $1.50. Which means each fishball is 50 cents. And mind you, they are not exactly tasty. Cold and hard fishballs that tasted as if it has been heated up from last night's dinner at 50 cents each. Wow! Singapore have peanuts, but malaysia got their very own fishball as well.

Oh did i mentioned that they had fried prawn for 6 ringgit each? Thats 3 bucks per prawn. Thats one bloody golden prawn eh.... maybe it was a lobster in disguise....

I tell you la, most people don't horn cos they have slow reaction. If they got faster reaction they would have horned 1000 times at the inconsiderate bastards already. HAHAHA!

Last time i oso never use horn but now I feel it's necessary to use to WARN people of possible danger (due to my fault or theirs).

Horning should (ideally) never be used to vent frustrations.

i did horn.... i horned a taxi driver who tried cut into my lane without checking out for me because his lane is stationary. I must stress that i horn for warning purposes and not to be hostile... After hearing my horn, the taxi driver stopped for half a second then continued to cut my lane even more sharply despite me travelling at about 40km/h on my own lane. I would have hit him if i din swerve my car the the left lane.... So u see, after awhile u won't even bother to horn!!! They don't care!
