Never Without You

Thanks to Arpan, i finally got hold of this song, Never without you.

For the sake of non-beatles fans, this song is written by ex-beatle Ringo Starr in tribute to his good friend and ex-bandmate, George Harrison who passed away in 2001 from cancer.

Here's an undated picture of the duo: George playing the guitar with Ringo on drums.

The lyrics for this song is simply heartwarming, touching and at times, kinda sad.

Rest in peace George,
your song will play on without you and this world won't forget about you.

Prison Break

This is an ultimately cool and dangerously addictive tv series since LOST. In fact, I am so totally addicted to it that I had finished the whole of season one in a matter of days. Yeah baby, once u press that play button, you just can't stop.

Michael Scofield is such a genius, planning his escape in minute detail. All the painstaking work he did just to get his brother, Lincoln Burrows out of death row. Every character has got their little history, everybody who wants to get out have their own personal reasons.

For LOST, i like the mystery and the suspense. For Prison Break, i love the action and the ingenuity. One thing about Prison Break though, i would prefer it to have a little more character development. Somewhat like LOST. But, then again, every TV series has its own unique draw. Whatever it is, i just can't wait to start watching Prison Break2 and Lost3!!!

This show really makes me feel like robbing the 7-11 store in my neighbourhood with my electric shaver and do my little own prison break out of this place.....
Of course, i will need to google the blueprints for this facility first!!! On 2nd thought, maybe not! Cause i hate needles and probably can't stand tatooing my whole body if, i mean IF i managed to get the blueprints off the net.... Furthermore, there is no Abruzzi in Changi.....

Blah.... Looks like i will just have to be contend with my unexciting life in reality and just continue working on that CV of mine and searching for potential employers on JobsDB.com

The Tale of Peter Rabbit

I must say i really like the movie Miss Potter. This movie is about an author of children's literature from the early 1900s. I particularly like the sets and the costumes in the movie, very Victorian.

I am sure most of us have at least some memory of Peter Rabbit back from our childhood days. Be it our daily reading books or our bed time stories, its nice to see them back in this movie. Its hard to believe that the first edition of this book is actually published in 1902!!!! Yes.... and its published in colour! Very cool.....

Anyway, the original 1902 copy is now a collectors item and the last time i checked it out on the net, it is worth more then US $8000.

For those without deep pockets, there is a movie commemorative version selling for about SDG$14. It can be found in MPH or Kinokuniya bookstores. This commemorative version is a hardcover copy made to look close to the original 1902 edition with its small size.

HP4155A Parameter Analyzer

At last, my spoilt Parameter Analyzer is replaced. It had been down for about 3 weeks?! An awfully long time considering that you have fyp stuff to rush. Hell am i gonna treat this one with extra care! I can't believe that that ancient looking box cost $17,000 in repairs the last time it broke down! $17k!!!! I bet that machine cost more than my BEng if you count in monetary terms.

This is the 3rd week of school and i am still in a vacation mood with a vacation daily schedule. I am currently having 8 hours of sleep everyday, about 3 hours of tv/movies and 2 hours of gaming per day. Well, how about the rest of the 24 hours? Ok sadly to say, it is being spent at CICFAR (my fyp lab) For the record, for every 2 hours spent in cicfar, there is maybe about 20mins of productive work. The rest of the time is spent waiting for equipment, kpohing, surfing the net and well... failing experiments. Maybe thats why everybody in cicfar is so helpful. Not sure about something? Someone is there to help u. Why???? Ohhhhh maybe because there is nothing else to do anyway.......

So go figure....

Some morbid thoughts....

There seemed to be many ways to get killed in cicfar.

1. Vaccuum chamber implosion
2. Kena burned by HF acid... (very deadly, someone died of this some years ago)
3. Fluorine or chlorine gas leak....
4. Furnace exploding due to overpressure...
5. Hydrogen gas accidentally mixing with oxygen gas.... boom!!!
6. You giving a karate kick to the thermal evaporator and Mrs Ho sees you.. (ok jus kidding)
