Happy Birthday!

Sormui's bday. We had buffet at Kuishibo, a japanese resturant in Suntec City Mall. What a great place it was. But before we got there....

Driving to Suntec city from Choa Chu Kang was quite a pain and i got terribly lost...

It took us 1.5 hours, 1/4 tank of fuel, and god knows how many U-turns before we got ourselves out of the urban maze, hit the right street and got to ourselves to our destination. Who says women can't read maps. Haha, she is an exception i guess. She navigated us there while i got hopelessly disorientated behind the wheel, driving like a madman trying to keep my temper in check :p

Nevertheless... we still got there!

Back to the resturant. I noticed that nowadays if u are dining in pairs, you will get a 2 seater table that is awfully close to another 2 seater table. It is as thou u are dining with 2 other strangers. What they say u can hear and vice-versa. Talk about a loss of personal space and privacy.... At times, i think we must be careful while attacking that piece of chicken or crab or it might just lose control and let if fly to your neighbouring diner's soup!
The food there is fantastic. Its authentic Japanese food, and you can eat as much as u want! Need i say more??? Let the pictures do the talking... (warning, do not look if u haven't had dinner yet. I am not responsible for yur rumbling stomach! )

We started off with Sushi. This picture was taken when we had already finished some of it!!! Just cannot wait till after the photo is taken... haha

This is the Japanese Steamboat. So cool huh! There is this little basket mounted on a small candle burner that resembles those u see being used for aroma therapy. On the little basket is a cone shape wax paper used to hold the soup!!! It tastes as great as the food. Next time i shall find the paper and try that at home.

Next, we had some finger foods. The fried prawns, softshell crabs and so on. Boy were they good.....

The Japanese makes one of the best egg custards! This one was simply delicious. Sormui dun like the pea. Hey, u better learn to eat yur veggies girl! There is a piece of chicken at the bottom. Its wierd that its there. Guess that its for the favouring.

And of course!!! Sashimi. No japanese buffet can be without it! I ate lotsa lotsa sashimi that night. I simply just love it.
